before tj came by the S&gC studios we had never really “hung out” with him. to say this dude is impressive would be an understatement. he’s smart, exceedingly well read, funny & he brought scotch with him. we ended up talking & drinking for over an hour & a half. among a ton of other things we cover downloading music, cats vs. dogs, our mutual love of interesting socks, nietzsche & the existence of god.

al ruiz is cool. he’s one of those guys who doesn’t realize how cool he is because he just wanders through life being cool. he hangs out, he makes sushi in one of the best food trucks in orlando & he plays some truly ass shaking garage soul. al was nice enough to come hang out & do some day drinking with us. besides the normal stuff we cover interesting scars, first loves, the importance of not being a dick & our buddy jacob kaplan. it was a decent way to spend a weekday afternoon.
