episode 224 – a conversation with my high school drama/debate teacher, kristen taylor a.k.a. miss t

KRISTEN TAYLOR or as i have always known her, miss. t, was my teacher for my junior & senior year of high school, 1983 thru 1986. the last time i saw her was the day i had her sign my yearbook. she has always my favorite teacher & this was a chance to say thank you for having a positive effect on my life.

here is just some of the stuff we covered:

  • the rocky horror picture show, sweet transvestite & an apology 34 years too late.
  • being a teacher is harder & more rewarding than you can imagine.
  • i probably deserved all the d’s on my report card,
  • growing up in the 80s & hanging with the “weird” kids.

  • diarrhea, the great common denominator.
  • project boyfriends, being one & having them.
  • simple things that make you feel cool.
  • making a safe space for kids who need it.
  • getting out of your comfort zone, getting lost & the joy of discovery.
